On roads with marked lanes, you must travel entirely in one lane. Where there are no lane lines marked, you should travel as if there were markings there. Changing lanes is permitted only when safe to do so.
Where a solid line separates lanes, you may not move across the solid line. The only exceptions are double lines in the centre of a highway where the line nearest you is a broken line (see the preceding illustrations) or centre turning lanes.Previous page Next page
