  1. All Alberta licence classes permit authority for learner privileges in a higher class. Reciprocity is only granted on the class/endorsement listed on the licence presented. back
  2. An Alberta Class 1 is automatically entitled to a Saskatchewan Class 1 with an A endorsement. All other Alberta classes must test to receive the air brake endorsement. back
  3. BC licence Class 4 Restriction 17 is used to restrict to taxis, limos, special vehicles and ambulances with not more than 10 passengers including the driver. BC End 20 = Heavy Trailer end. back
  4. For Manitoba licences, endorsement codes are displayed on the face of the driver's licence and the description of the code(s) are on the back of the driver's licence. back
  5. Newfoundland endorsement codes 01, 02, 03, 04 are learner level only in that corresponding class. For example: an 01 endorsement is a learner in Class 01. back
  6. Full motorcycle driving privileges are granted at minimum 16 years old in New Brunswick. back
  7. In Nova Scotia, a Class 5 licence is authorized to drive Class 1, 2, 3, 4 as a learner provided you have 1 year of driving experience. Heavy Trailer = Condition Code 15. back
  8. Quebec combines classes with types of licences, conditions and ends. End F certifies the holder is authorized to drive heavy vehicles equipped with air. There is no specific end for operating a S/B in QB. Class 2 is for 24 or more passengers, 4B is for 24 or fewer passenger mini buses. If there is no end for manual transmission, a Class 1 driver should get SK M rest. back
