SGI’s Seat Belt Survivors’ Club

This club is an exclusive one - it’s for people who have survived a traffic collision because they were wearing their seat belts.

The Seat Belt Survivors’ Club was created in 1977 and there are now more than 3,400 members who say seat belts protected them from serious injury or death.

The Club is designed to recognize people who have the good judgment to buckle up, and to encourage others to do the same. Membership is free and members receive a congratulatory letter from SGI, a membership card and certificate.

If you, or anyone you know, is living proof that seat belts work, we’d like to hear from you. With your permission, SGI might want to publicize your story to help raise awareness of the importance of always buckling up. Seat belts are the most effective protection when riding in a vehicle, and sharing your seat belt story may convince others to do the same. You can still join the Seat Belt Survivors’ Club even if you don’t want to publicize your story.

Complete this Seatbelt Survivors' Club Membership

and tell us about your seatbelt survival story.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. Seat belts work – and you’re living proof!
