SGI and IBAS sign Issuer Accord
SGI and the Insurance Brokers' Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) have
signed an Issuer Accord to better their working relationship and deliver
even better service to their customers.
The Issuer Accord was recently signed between SGI’s Auto Fund, which
administers the driver’s licence and vehicle registration system on behalf
of the Government of Saskatchewan, and IBAS, which represents the interests
of Saskatchewan motor licence issuers.
“The goal of this accord is to foster a strategic, mutually-beneficial
partnership, which enhances the delivery of superior, cost-effective, customer-focused
products and services,” said SGI President Jon Schubert.
“Most importantly this agreement will help both organizations serve Saskatchewan
people even better.”
IBAS President Shawn Wasylenko said he looks forward to the continuing
partnership with SGI.
“We are pleased to be solidifying our relationship with SGI and look forward
to an even brighter future thanks to this new agreement,” said Wasylenko.
The Issuer Accord outlines 15 agreed upon points, ranging from such items
as fostering better communication between both groups, recognizing
the value of each other’s roles to provide service to Saskatchewan people, along
with teaming-up on traffic safety programs.
The idea for the Issuer Accord came out of long-term discussions that
began in early 2003. At the time, IBAS and SGI committed to exploring
the long-term benefits of an agreement to clarify and strengthen the relationship
between IBAS and SGI. The Issuer Accord is expected to be a key tool in
achieving the Auto Fund strategic objective of supporting its issuer and
broker partners.
