Yorkton SGI Salvage now accepting appointments to check child restraints
SGI is offering a new service to the people of Yorkton and surrounding areas. By phoning Yorkton SGI Salvage, you can make a free appointment to have your childs restraint (car seat) checked to make sure your child is travelling safely.
Different kinds of child restraints, different makes and models of cars, and the differences between the children themselves make installing and using a child restraint very complicated, said Yorkton SGI Salvage Manager Todd George. Our staff have been trained to work with you to ensure youre using the correct restraint for your child, that the restraint is installed correctly and that your child is safely secured in the restraint.
Statistics show that only half of children age eight and under in Saskatchewan are properly restrained in a vehicle. Properly restraining children is the best way to prevent injuries to them during a collision.
To help kick off the new service, SGI is hosting a free child restraint drive-in clinic on Thursday Feb. 14 from 1:30 p.m. 3:30 p.m. at Yorkton SGI Salvage. Everyone is welcome.
To make an appointment to get your child restraint checked please call Yorkton SGI Salvage at (306) 786-2480.
