Plates and Permits

Saskatchewan uses a single licence plate system, where all vehicles must display a single rear licence plate.

Front licence plates can be displayed if the correct guidelines are followed.

Permits are available from motor licence issuers that allow you to drive an unregistered vehicle for short time periods. Different permits will allow you to drive your vehicle based on each permit's guidelines.

Cancelling your registration

A registration cancellation request can be done at any motor licence issuer by the registered owner or any party with authorization from the registered owner.

For cancellation details view the Cancelling your vehicle registration page.
