To register a used vehicle, the following is required:

  • If the vehicle was previously registered in Saskatchewan:
    1. A completed Transfer of Ownership form - this can be found on the previous owner's certificate of registration.
    2. A bill of sale. See a sample bill of sale (pdf, 12kb).
  • If the vehicle was previously registered outside of Saskatchewan or is a total loss:
    1. A vehicle inspection.
    2. A bill of sale.

PST payments

PST does not apply to the purchase of eligible used light vehicles on which tax has been previously paid in full. It's important that you check to see if the PST was previously paid on the used vehicle you are buying.

Buyer beware
