Replacing lost or damaged licences

If you lose or damage your driver's licence there is a $10 charge to have it replaced with the existing photo.

Replace with existing photo

If you lose or damage our driver's licence there is a $10 charge to have it replaced with the existing photo. To request a replacement driver's licence, visit MySGI or a motor licence issuer. Your licence will be sent to your current mailing address within 10 business days.

Replace with new photo

Your driver's licence can be reprinted with a new photo any time before the expiry date for a $20 fee. You will need to visit a motor licence issuer if you require the following changes:

  • a change to your personal information (other than your address)
  • a change to your driving authority
  • you wish to have your photo retaken

You will be required to present identification to verify changes to your personal information or a Driver Examination Certificate (DEC) to amend your driving authority.
