Our goal is to prevent deaths and serious injuries due to traffic collisions.

We carry out this goal by creating campaigns that increase traffic safety awareness across Saskatchewan.

Drinking and driving

Drinking and driving remains the number 1 contributing factor in fatal collisions in Saskatchewan.

Driver distraction

Driver distraction and inattention is responsible for about 25% of all accidents on Saskatchewan roads.

Child car seats

Of the children injured while riding in a vehicle last year, only 14% of them were in a booster or car seat and 69% were restrained with a seatbelt that may have been inappropriate.

Seatbelts

Seatbelts can decrease the chances of sustaining a serious injury in a traffic crash by as much as 50%.

Holiday weekend roads

You're more likely to be involved in an alcohol-related collision while travelling on a holiday weekend than during any other time of the year.
