SGI continues to reward new drivers
SGI is rewarding ten new drivers for their safe driving habits.
These new drivers each received a $1,000 cheque from SGI for completing the Graduated Driver's Licensing (GDL) program without any at-fault collisions, traffic convictions or suspensions.
"We're pleased to continue rewarding safe driving habits among our province's new drivers," said Phyllis Glowatsky, SGI's Manager of Driver Programs. "These new drivers have shown that it pays to develop safe driving habits right from the start."
The winners are:
- Mitchell Braun, Nipawin
- Christina Leurer, Regina
- Austin Molnar, Melville
- Alitha Chamney, Estevan
- William Maskal, Saskatoon
- Martin Geis, Mossbank
- Jeffery Turchyn, Saskatoon

- Alicia Merriam, Saskatoon
This year's winners were randomly selected from 7,098 individuals who successfully completed the GDL program without any at-fault collisions, traffic convictions or suspensions by Aug. 31, 2008.
The GDL program was launched in 2005 and is designed to improve road safety by exposing new drivers to incremental risks as they gain more driving experience. The cash prizes are an added incentive for new drivers to develop safe driving habits.
The cut-off date for the next draw is Aug. 31, 2009.
