Unless stated otherwise, all references to the SGI sites in these terms include all such sites.

The information on this website is intended to provide general information only on the various services, programs and insurance coverages offered by SGI. Nothing in this website is intended to provide legal advice or to be relied on as binding in any dispute, claim, action, demand or proceeding.

Third-party services

The use of the term analytics is defined as information we collect about our websites such as length of time spent on our sites, what pages are loaded, and by what kinds of devices. This general analytic data does not identify the user directly.

Third-party applications and services are not operated or controlled by SGI. Use of the Tools button on SGI website pages will display a list of third-party options. Use of these tools are voluntary and will bind you to the terms of use listed on this website. You agree to let our third-party analytics generate statistical reports that do not contain identifiable information about you, and allow SGI to use and collect information that is freely posted on our social media pages, such as comments or posts.

AddThis: SGI uses AddThis as a service to allow users to share pages located on our websites. Use of this service does not require registration, and no identifiable personal information is saved. AddThis collects non-personal data for usage tracking, statistical and service quality purposes. This information is password protected and only available to SGI staff and SGI social media consultants. Use of the Email feature will only supply SGI information relating to how many times a page was shared and opened, no personal information is retained. AddThis does not verify email addresses. Bit.ly: SGI uses Bit.ly to shorten URLs for sharing on Twitter. Bit.ly collects and provides data on how often Twitter users click on the shortened URLs that have been shared. The analytics available do not provide any personal or identifiable information. This information is password protected and only available to SGI staff and SGI social media consultants. Brightcove: SGI uses this service to play videos on our websites for display on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices. Brightcove may collect and report non-identifiable information about video usage. Facebook: SGI uses this service to post various updates relating to news, notices, contests, and other communications to inform and interact with users. You may read Facebook page posts without an account, but you need to register with Facebook to comment or click on the Like button. Personal identifying information will be visible to SGI staff and other Facebook site visitors if you Like or comment on our public pages. You must use your own Facebook privacy settings to control the display of this kind of information. SGI may collect and use information that is posted on our Facebook pages and that is publically available. Facebook may collect and report non-identifiable information about activities on SGI Facebook pages. Google: Google services such as Analytics and Google Maps may be used to enhance service for SGI website visitors. Google may collect and report non-identifiable information about activities on Google services. LinkedIn: SGI uses this service to provide information about products, career opportunities and more. LinkedIn may collect and report information about activities on SGI company profile pages. Twitter: SGI uses this service to share information with visitors and respond to comments and inquiries on Twitter. You may read our Twitter posts without creating a Twitter account, but to follow us on Twitter you must create an account. Personal identifying information will be visible to SGI staff and other Twitter visitors if you comment on our public pages. SGI may collect and use information that is posted on our Twitter pages. Twitter may collect and report non-identifiable information about activities on SGI Twitter pages. Yahoo!: SGI uses Yahoo! Inc. services such as Flickr as a photo sharing community. You may view photos without creating a Flickr account, but to post comments you must create an account. You can modify how much information is visible to the public by changing your privacy settings on Yahoo! or Flickr. Personal identifying information will be visible to SGI staff and other Flickr visitors if you comment on public photos. SGI may collect and use information that is posted. Yahoo! may collect and report non-identifiable information about activities on Yahoo! Services. YouTube: SGI posts videos and comments on our YouTube channel. You do not need to register with YouTube to watch videos. YouTube may record non-identifiable information about its site usage, such as channels and videos, but if you are logging on with a YouTube user ID, YouTube may associate information about your site use with your YouTube account, including comments made on SGI posted videos. This information may be used by SGI staff and SGI social media consultants. Personal information you include when registering with YouTube may be visible to visitors who view comments.

Ads appearing on SGI YouTube videos are delivered by YouTube and its advertising partners and are not controlled or endorsed by SGI. SGI may collect and use information that is posted on our YouTube pages that is publically available. See YouTube's privacy policy and terms of service.
