Plan a safe ride home with Ding in the New Year

With New Year's Eve coming up, SGI wants you to toast the New Year in with a ding. Not the clink you hear from your glasses in a toast - the distinctive ding when you pull the cord for your bus stop.
We encourage you to take advantage of the Ding in the New Year program, which offers free bus service on New Year's Eve. Since 1988 we've been offering this service to party-goers in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina (pdf, 17 kb) and Saskatoon to help their residents get a safe ride home.

The need remains
Since its inception in 1988, more than 230,000 people across the province have taken advantage of the Ding in the New Year program.
Last year in Saskatchewan, 69 people were killed and more than 750 were injured in alcohol-related collisions. During the holiday season alone, there were 4 deaths and 58 injuries as a result of an impaired driver.
Ensure that fun and festivities last all season long by always remembering to plan a safe ride home.
