Labour Day Safe Ride

Celebrate the Labour Day Classic safely! SGI sponsors a shuttle service on the Labour Day weekend, promoting safe and accessible transportation to the game and other festivities. We offer this service to reduce the number of impaired driving incidents and tackle safety concerns over the Labour Day weekend.

The transit shuttle offers free rides from the 2200 block of Dewdney Avenue to the University of Regina and hotels located in the downtown, north, south and east area. Running every half hour, shuttles will be available on Saturday, Sept. 4 from midnight to 3:30 a.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 5 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.

In past years, the city's transit and taxi services alone have been unable to handle the influx of fans for the annual Labour Day Classic football game. With the Labour Day Safe Ride, fans and partygoers can enjoy the weekend's celebrations knowing they have a free, safe and convenient way to cross the city.
