New driver education funding for immigrants

SGI is giving immigrants a helping hand when it comes to obtaining their driver's licence.

Funding is now available to refugees and immigrants who have taken up permanent residency in Saskatchewan and who legally require driver education to obtain a Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's licence.

It is available to those who have not previously completed a certified driver education course, allowing them to obtain the required 6 hours of in-class and 6 hours of in-car training.
